PEARL HARBOUR is only a few miles from Waikiki.
It was the 65th anniversary and the Island was full of Veterans and their families.

With these 2 major events going on, we had a big problem finding a Hotel - we had to move after a couple of days.

We called a Taxi and this is what turned up !
Streeeeeeeeetch Limo.
We could get used to that.

OK - Time to grab the back-packs and get on the Airport Bus.
It started to rain that morning - Hmmmmm

Waikiki Beach (Oahu Island) - Our overall opinion...

- Very 'Americanised' - McDonalds, PizzaHut, Subway, huge steaks and huge cold Beers, loads of shops and markets.
- Nice sandy Beaches, lots of Bars and Restaurants, top quality Hotels. But it's not a cheap place.
- The north of the Island is where the world-class surfing goes on.
- We would probably go back, but to a different island for a change - it's not easy to 'Island Hop' - you need to fly.
-Great place for a holiday (not too much to do there), but it is halfway between the USA and Australia, so it's quite a hike!
