Queensland...
Brisbane   /   Sunshine Coast   /   Gold Coast (Surfer's Paradise)
THIS PAGE IS NOT FINISHED YET !!! 24/MAY/07
Brisbane City
We've been to Oz before and spent quite a while in Melbourne, doing the 'Great Coast Road' in the south, hired cars and travelled inland to mining towns like Ballerat and had a wonderful time in Sydney where the NEW YEARS EVE celebrations and the Opera House were awsome.

This visit we wanted to see our yottie friends Robert & Robin who live on the Sunshine Coast, just north of Brisbane.   There is a whole load to explore there too.
Brisbane is not (right) on the coast, so in the centre of the city, on South bank, they have built a large manmade beach area, alongside a large open park.
A great place to cool off.
Lovely breakfast at the Beach with Di (robin's cousin) and Colin (he's from nr. Dorchester)
They start the surfers young at Mooloolabar
We met Robert and Robin in Fiumicino (Rome) years ago.   They live near Mooloolabar and keep their boat "BARDOO" in the local marina.
They have an amazing family who were so welcoming and friendly - we absolutely loved our time there.
